I absolutely love my role as a Property Manager with Glasshouse. In this role, you have an opportunity to make a difference to both landlords and tenants.
For a tenant, being able to find a comfortable home for them and their family is such a relief. While for landlords, it’s about ensuring you take care of their ‘nest egg’ which they’ve worked hard to establish. So matching the right home to the right family, not only benefits the family, but the property owner too.
I invest a lot of time in ensuring I get this right. You meet a lot of people in this role, and you get to know their stories. I remember one in particular.
There was a single mother with two children who had been living at Women’s Refuge for five months. This family had escaped abuse and were desperate for a fresh start, in a safe place of their own. Being able to help them find a home was extremely fulfilling.
The mother had the best references and only needed for someone to give her a chance. She has cared for this home beautifully, and I am so touched to know that I have helped make a difference in her life, and that of her children.
I am proud to be a part of a supportive, encouraging and positive company that is continuously changing and improving.
